"Edward & Gail's Kitchen" - Updating this 20 year old kitchen was a labor of love for Edward and Gail, and the results exceeded their expectations. Gail commented, "After walking into the same kitchen for over 20 years, deciding to create a new one was more difficult then we expected. Jessica helped to make that decision easier for us by clearly expressing what we could do with the space, and how much nicer it would look." She went on to say, "We couldn't be more happy with result. We are pleased to say that when walking into our new kitchen, we feel as much at home as the original."
Picking the materials was a collaborative process on this project, as Gail had a strong idea of what she envisioned for the kitchen. While the general layout of the original was fine for her, she wanted to start over with everything else. The original kitchen was completely gutted, with all new cabinets, appliances and fixers installed. Each detail was decided upon, with Jessica Barwick maintaining the consistency of design, creating a unified look.
Serving a family of five, this kitchen has been a gathering point for over two decades. Getting the design right was perhaps more important then if the project had been all new construction with no emotional ties. However, from design to installation, Barwick Interiors was able to complete the project on time, on budget, and with two very happy customers.
