Barwick Interiors

Barwick Interiors was one of 25 areas designers selected to participate in Historic Ellicott City Inc.'s 21st Decorator Show House. This year's event took place at "Longwood", a historic manor house in Glenwood. Each of the designers was given a room to work with, and the beautiful 1818 home as inspiration. Jessica Barwick, along with designer Elizabeth Choi had the distinct honor of working with the home's sunroom.

This unique and privileged task was not without its challenges. Due to the historic nature of the home, designs tended to be more on the traditional side, challenging Jessica and Elizabeth to add a flavor of there own. Added to that was the age of the home, and limitations of the space. However, The end result speaks for itself.

Described by the designers as "A haven of relaxation", this small room with great light won over the events attendees. "Their efforts at the historic Ellicott City show house, Longwood produced a charming and very popular room - created from quite a challenging space", commented Robin Evans of Deerfield Designs - Cochair of Design "Longwood".

Working on this esteemed project and aiding the fund-raising efforts of Historic Ellicott City Inc. was a genuine honor for Barwick Interior, and all of the others who contributed to making this another successful showcase.
